AMP is a short film directed by Adam Marisett. LightRay worked on the matte paintings and digital environment. We successfully replaced the Vancouver look, where this film was shot, into a futurist unknown city.

This is a very challenge project. The film was made in Vancouver first. Then in order to fit the story which is in future, we add matte paintings on top of footage. This means we have to create many mattes to cut out the actor and foreground objects, and put in matte paintings on top seamlessly.

We also add dirty texture and lots of objects such as dumpster on the street or wires to make the nice beautiful Vancouver look like an old dirty town.
